Although Jared and Katie technically met in middle school, it wasn't until sophomore year of high school when their friendship started to grow. Jared and Katie went to junior year Homecoming together and on October 15th, 2016, Jared asked Katie to be his girlfriend! After graduation, Jared decided to play football at Pitt State and Katie wanted to go to K-State. They dated long distance from Manhattan to Pittsburg throughout college where they made many drives back and forth for Jared's football games and Katie's events. After 4 1/2 years, they were so ready to be back together in Kansas City. Since then, they've enjoyed spending time together with friends, family and traveling. On November 4th, 2023, Jared popped the question while on a trip to Austin with their closest friends for the K-State football game and of course Katie said yes! They are so thankful for their family and friends for their support over these years and they can't wait to celebrate on June 14th!
